End of year networking draws festive support

Over 50 people attended the last Wednesday Club showcase of 2011. The Leader of Plymouth City Council, Vivien Pengelly was the special guest of honour.

Three new start-up businesses officially launched at this month’s showcase, at the Studio Lounge in Plymouth.

Tracy Walters of ‘The Perfect Package’ that plans weddings, events and supplies talked about her new business.

Lai-Yin Wong Brooks presented her new Chinese lucky cards and sweets business, and the Studio Lounge officially cut the ribbon for it’s new business in the revamped Durley House building.

Council Leader, Vivien Pengelly, said: “I am very proud of the new businesses being created across the city. And especially the help and support being given by Outset Plymouth and Finance in their free delivery programmes, partly funded by the ERDF and Plymouth City Council.”

Gregg Harding gave updates on Outset Finance, and Stephanie Sinclaire talked about PEW and new Outset Workshops coming up on stream for 2012.

The Wednesday Club festive special included; home-made mince pies, lucky cards and Chinese sweets, with Christine Blackaller, Programme Director of Outset Plymouth: wishing everyone a ‘MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR’ from team Outset.
